Rotary was once again a proud participant in Cheboygan’s Christmas Parade of Lights. Many thanks goes to the volunteers who helped get the float ready. To see pictures of our volunteers hard at work on the float, click here.
All Rotarians (and spouses) are invited to attend the Festival of Trees at the Cheboygan Historical Society on Sunday, December 14th, from 3-4 p.m.
The annual Cheboygan Christmas parade is on December 6th. The Cheboygan Rotary will have a float in the parade. If you would like to help in decorating the float, please come to Cheboygan Cement on December 4th at 7:00 p.m. to help. Deb Libby will be providing refreshments.
We will be ringing bells to help the Salvation Army on December 13th at Glen’s Markent and on December 20th at Wal-Mart. If you would like to help, contact Bill Ahrenberg.
Effective January 1st, 2009, copies of the Rot-O-Pinion, our bulletin will no longer be mailed to members living in other parts of the country or to people who do not attend meetings. We will not be having our regular noon meetings on the following dates: November 26th, December 24th and December 31st because of the holidays.
As a way to help support our troops overseas, the Cheboygan Rotary Club is collecting items to go in care packages for these men and women serving our country. You may bring any of the following items to the meeting on October 1st, and they will be boxed and sent to our troops.

The 18th Annual Cheboygan Rotary Golf Outing was held on Friday, September 5th and was a great success. A big thanks to Scott Beard who coordinated the event and a special thanks to Dennis Hug for all of his work getting corporate sponsors as well as personally donating (and cooking) the steaks. The dates for picking up in conjunction with Adopt-a-Highway are September 13-21. Missy Koszegi is coordinating this year’s effort. Please watch for the sign-up sheet at a Wednesday meeting.
